Lamina
Lamina are the structures that hold the hoof capsule onto the bone inthe foot (P3). They have extensive blood supply and are complicated structurally. The lamina grow down from the coronary band. The coronary band elaborates the insensitive lamina of the hard horny hoof and the sensitive lamina on the surface if P3.
