| Surgery
Our modern surgery suite, constructed in 1998, is capable of handling soft tissue and orthopedic surgical problems, including arthroscopy, on an elective and emergency basis. We have specific anesthesia monitoring equipment to help provide safe anesthesia for our patients. While under anesthesia, each patient has its oxygen saturation, heart rate and respiratory rate monitored. For longer procedures, an anesthetist monitors blood pressure and the electrical pattern of the heart (EKG). Our surgeon is Board Certified as a specialist in equine surgery by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and has over twenty years of experience in equine surgery.
